ROME – Journalist and writer Claudia Conte, spokesperson for the National Observatory on Bullying and Youth Distress, returns to bookstores with her new novel, “Where Silences Are Born” (exclusively on Amazon), which will be presented on Monday, July 14th, at 7:00 PM, at the Circolo Canottieri Lazio.
Recently awarded the Leone d’Oro International Award for Social Journalism, Claudia Conte addresses issues of strong social impact and current relevance in her new work: from domestic violence to psychological and economic control, from bullying to youth distress, and the value of listening as a tool for prevention, support, and treatment. Through intense and engaging narration, the novel invites us to reflect on the importance of breaking the silence, promoting education, and strengthening collective responsibility towards the most vulnerable.
The meeting will open with greetings from Luciano Crea, vice president of the Circolo Canottieri Lazio and president of the Regional Council Commission for Culture, Entertainment, Sport, and Tourism.
Following speakers, moderated by Antonio Rapisarda, editor of Il Secolo d’Italia, will be:
- Lucia Albano, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economy and Finance;
- Paola Frassinetti, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Education and Merit;
- Fabio Roscani, MP and president of Gioventù Nazionale;
- Marta Di Meo, psychotherapist and honorary judge, an expert in selective mutism.
- Renowned actor Danilo Brugia will lead the readings.

The Roman presentation is one of the stops on the book’s national summer tour, which will continue in the coming weeks with events at the Premio Ausonia in Calabria, the Caffè della Versiliana, and the Ombre Festival, continuing the dialogue with the public on the themes addressed in the novel.
The evening will conclude with a book signing by the author and an aperitif provided by the La Pizzuta del Principe winery, organized thanks to the contribution of Andrea Petrangeli, Private Banker at Banca Generali. This convivial moment will offer participants the opportunity to continue the dialogue with the author and guests, sharing reflections and insights on the themes central to the novel.
