“Brand Italia”: the Senate Hosts a Celebration of Italian Excellence

An institutional meeting dedicated to the value of Italian businesses, culture, and productive identity will take place in Rome

On May 20, 2026, the prestigious Sala ISMA (Istituti di Santa Maria in Aquino) at the Senate of the Republic in Rome will host “Brand Italia – Eccellenze italiane a confronto” (Brand Italy – Comparing Italian Excellences). The initiative is promoted by Senator Gianluca Cantalamessa, a member of the Senate’s Industry, Commerce, and Tourism Commission, the Parliamentary Anti-Mafia Commission, and the Italian OSCE Delegation.  The event is co-promoted by Hon. Alessandro Caramiello, President of the Parliamentary Intergroup for “Development of the South, Fragile Areas, and Minor Islands,” in collaboration with the XVII Art Commission.

The gathering aims to highlight the entities that actively contribute to the economic, cultural, and social growth of the country. By bringing together representatives from the business world, institutions, cultural sectors, and professional fields, the event seeks to spark a dialogue on the strategic role of “Made in Italy” and Italian expertise in both national and international development processes.

A formal event invitation for 'Brand Italia' hosted by Senator Gianluca Cantalamessa, featuring discussions on Italian excellence. Scheduled for May 20, 2026, at Sala Isma, Senate of the Republic in Rome. Includes institutional greetings and a book presentation.

During the meeting, special awards will be presented to businesses and key figures who have distinguished themselves through innovation, vision, and their overall contribution to their respective productive and cultural sectors. Among the notable guests is Maestro Tony Esposito, a symbolic figure of Italian music and culture, who will be honored for his artistic value and his contribution to establishing culture as an economic and identifying engine for the country. Furthermore, the event will feature the participation of Barbara Bonanni, an actress, author, and audiovisual representative of the Parliamentary Intergroup’s XVII Art Commission, who is dedicated to promoting the dialogue between culture, communication, and the creative industry.

The program also includes the presentation of the book “Formazione Continua” (Continuous Training) by Hon. Sergio Vaccaro. This segment will focus on professional growth and the valorization of human capital as a strategic lever for the development of the national system.

Set within a high-profile institutional context designed to encourage discussion, this initiative marks the first step in a broader journey dedicated to Italian excellence. It places a special emphasis on virtuous models capable of combining tradition, innovation, business, and culture, ultimately aiming to strengthen the positioning of the “Brand Italia” in the contemporary global landscape.
